How to see whether the laser is actually busy

Owners ask “how busy are we?” and get a feeling. The honest answer is hours the revenue-producing device was booked versus hours it could have been. That only exists if the visit names the laser and the room, not only the person holding the handpiece.
Put the machine on the appointment
If IPL needs cabin 2 and the Harmony, those two resources must be busy when the visit is busy. A second practitioner who is free still cannot steal that slot. That is not a nice-to-have. It is how you stop a double book.
- Each device has a location and a calendar.
- Treatments declare which device they need.
- Reports then show empty hours on that device, not a vanity “utilization” number from another industry.
Read empty hours as a decision
Empty Tuesday mornings on the laser are a packing or pricing problem, not a mystery. Full Thursdays with a waitlist are a second-session or a second-device conversation.
Do not mix retail till hours into clinical occupancy. A product sale at reception is not cabin time.
What GlowPilot shows
Rooms and machines are first-class on the book. Occupancy reports follow those bookings. Request a demo if you want to see a laser week with empty slots you can act on — not a dashboard wallpaper.
