WhatsApp and SMS Reminders for Aesthetic Clinics

In many clinics the confirmation lives in someone’s personal chat. That works until the laptop sleeps, the staff member is off, or two people quote two prices.
Patients still want a message they will open. For some that is WhatsApp. For others it is SMS or email. The clinic needs both, attached to the visit.
WhatsApp Business is not WhatsApp Web
A browser window on reception’s computer is not a clinic channel. WhatsApp Business Platform (Meta Cloud API) sends from the clinic number with templates Meta has approved.
You never hand over the Meta password. The clinic clicks the official signup. Campaigns stay in a separate module so a marketing blast cannot hide inside a reminder.
Opt-in is per person, per channel
Some patients want WhatsApp. Some only want SMS. Keep that on the chart so any teammate can see it. Operational reminders about an appointment are not the same as a sale campaign.
- Confirmations and reminders fire from the same record as the visit.
- SMS and email cover people who never open WhatsApp.
- If they opted out of marketing, keep the reminder factual: time, treatment, how to change it.
Measure empty chairs, not vanity send counts
Track no-shows before and after reminders actually leave. If the message is still sitting on a locked laptop, the software did not fail — the channel did.
GlowPilot sends WhatsApp, SMS, and email from the appointment. Request a demo if you want to see a reminder leave from a real visit.
